A Growing Industry with Growing Pain Points
Shared micromobility is expanding rapidly, but so are the challenges. Poor parking, safety concerns, cluttered walkways, instability, antisocial behaviour, and limited accessibility continue to frustrate both riders and councils. Ario has built new hardware capable of addressing these issues — including self-stabilising designs, wishbone suspension, and 360° visual scanning — but needed clarity on how the digital experience, service model, and user-facing ecosystem could evolve with equal innovation. To do that, Moonward needed to look far beyond what competitors were offering today and instead explore what wasn’t being done yet.

Ario gave Moonward permission to explore freely; to challenge industry standards and propose ambitious ideas unconstrained by existing product boundaries. The result was a future-focused UI/UX concept for a digital ecosystem designed to reduce friction, elevate safety, and bring communities, councils, and riders closer to a shared goal: making e-scooters a genuinely welcomed transport option.
